Coultier is Quickest in ARCA Monday Morning Test at Kentucky

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series veteran Kasey Kahne (center), 15-time AMA Motocross champion Ricky Carmichael (right) and newcomer Brad Sweet (left) are among the drivers testing today at Kentucky Speedway. While Kahne and Sweet are testing Doug Stringer Motorsports entries, Carmichael is in a Kevin Harvick, Inc Chevrolet.
Joey Coulter, also in a Chevrolet, was quickest among the 16 drivers who posted time and speed in the morning session at Kentucky.
Hessert to Take Over RAB Racing ARCA Ride Starting at Iowa

RAB Racing announced today that Tom Hessert III will pilot the No. 09 Cherry Hill Classic Cars Ford Fusion for the remainder of the 2009 ARCA RE/MAX Series season. Hessert will be driving for the seasoned ARCA RE/MAX Series team RAB Racing with Brack Maggard, beginning at Iowa Speedway on July 11th.
Legends of NASCAR to Head for Big Mansfield Street Stock Race

he Legends of NASCAR are making a stop at Mansfield Motorsports Park on Sunday, July 19, to meet their fans, sign autographs and participate in the racing program. Cale Yarborough, Harry Gant, Sterling Marlin and Jimmy Spencer will be appearing live and in person, competing together one more time against each other on the super fast Mansfield track. This will be the same night the track hosts the Frank Kimmel Street Stock 200-lap Invitational. The race will be open to all Kimmel, CRA and local Street Stocks. Upwards of 100 cars could show up to compete for the $5,000 winner's purse.
Spears Manufacturing to Sponsor SRL Southwest Tour Series

It was announced Friday evening that one of the biggest names in west coast stock car racing has signed on as the title sponsor of the SRL Southwest Tour Series, newly named the SRL Spears Southwest Tour Series. At a dinner of more than 200 SRL Southwest Tour Series team members, officials and sponsors held at Madera Speedway, Larry Collins announced that Spears Manufacturing, a world leader in plastic piping products, will be the series title sponsor for the remainder of 2009. Wayne Spears and his wife Connie have owned competitive race teams for more than 25 years, including teams that competed on the NASCAR Southwest Tour Series, the Camping World Truck Series and championship teams in the NASCAR Camping World West Series.
Series ACT Castrol Montmagny 250 is Postponed by Rain 'til Aug.

The Series ACT Castrol Montmagny 250 scheduled for Saturday, July 4th at Autodrome Montmagny has been postponed until Satuday, August 1st due to expected heavy rains. The Montmagny 250 was scheduled to be the sixth event on the Series ACT Castrol 250 and the second trip to the 1/3 mile speedplant.
Is The Milwaukee Mile On Its Deathbed?

The nation's oldest race track might be closing for good. The Milwaukee Mile, which has hosted scores of short track racing series through the years, has shut down its offices and laid off its staff according to the Milwaukee Sentinel Journal. Carquest Tour Announces Make-Up Dates For Two Events

The Carquest Pro Stock Tour has announced new dates for the Lucas Oil 100 and Parts for Trucks 100. The Lucas Oil 100 was scheduled to run at Raceway Park in Oyster Bed Bridge on June 20th. The Parts for Trucks 100 was scheduled to run on June 27th at Speedway 660 in Fredericton. Both events were postponed due to inclement weather. The Carquest Tour is scheduled to be back on the Island at Raceway Park on the August 1st long weekend. This will now be a double header weekend. The Parts for Trucks 100 there will run as scheduled on Saturday, August 1st at 6:00pm. The Lucas Oil 100 will follow on Sunday, August 2nd at 2:00pm. The Parts for Trucks 100 in Fredericton that was rained out last weekend has been re-scheduled for July 25th at Speedway 660 at 7:00pm.
Hornaday Hopes to Continue Hot Streak Tonight in ASA MW Race

Ron Hornaday Jr. is on a roll as he has won the last two NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races at Milwaukee and this past weekend in Memphis. He is hoping that winning streak continues as he will join the American Speed Association Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment this Friday Night as he will compete in the Keith Fleck Miller 100 at Hawkeye Downs Speedway in Cedar Rapids, IA.
